BABYSITTER NETWORK

If you like to babysit and want to advertise your services, call the Manhattan Park District office at 815-478-3324 and ask to have your name placed on our list. If you are looking for a babysitter call our office to request a list. Please note that the Manhattan Park District does not make recommendations, parents are solely responsible for interviewing and choosing an appropriate babysitter.

 

MANHATTAN NEIGHBORHOOD FOOD PANTRY

Established in the fall of 1997 to assist those in need in the Manhattan area, the Food Pantry is open on the first and third Mondays of the month from 6:30-7:30 pm (with some exceptions). The Food Pantry is located at the Township Hall on the northeast corner of Eastern and Smith Streets. Food Pantry donation bins are located at Berkot’s Foods and at the Village Hall. CURTAIN CALL COMMUNITY THEATRE

Register now for Emily McCabe Musical Theatre Program. Each camp has two sessions: Morning (9:00-12:30) Afternoon (1:00-4:30). Camps begin June 11 at St. Mary School, Mokena. Students currently in grades 4-8 will perform Seussical Jr. July 13-25. Students currently in grades 1-3 will perform Lemonade, July 5. Performances are at Lincoln-Way Central High School. COUNTY WILL MORRIGANS RUGBY FOOTBALL CLUB

The County Will Morrigans, a Manhattan Womens Rugby Club, is always looking for additional members. Ages high school graduate and up. For more information contact Nicole Edgcomb at (815)762-2809. 

 

LINCOLN-WAY HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT 210 AQUATIC FACILITIES

Lincoln-Way District #210 residents are encouraged to use the swimming pools at any of the 4 Lincoln-Way High Schools. Registration for programs is available at any school. Each campus offers instructional programs for ages 3 months to 12 years of age to all Lincoln-Way High School families and adult lap swimming for those 18 years and older. The Swim Brochure for the 2012-13 school year is available at lw210.org under the Community tab. Swim brochures will no longer be mailed to district homes and are available online only. Registration accepted and classes filled on a lottery basis until classes are full. Class size is limited. Please contact any Aquatic Center for further information.

LINCOLN-WAY WEST & CENTRAL WALKING PASSES

Walking passes are available for Lincoln-Way High School District 210 residents 16 years and older only. Registration is taken at Lincoln-Way West and Central, Monday through Friday 7:30 am-3 pm. Walking schedule is Monday through Friday 6 am-3 pm & 7-9 pm. Please enter through Aquatic Center doors.
